I will not get into the arcana of the Feldman Protocol, because Dave Feldman did it for me and better, here. The hypothesis is simple:
“In the context of a low carbohydrate diet, the more fat you eat, the lower your blood cholesterol will be.”
I decided to replicate the full, 10.5 day version:
- For the first 5 days I ate four smoked trouts each day.
- For the next 5 days, I stuffed myself with whatever I could, so long as it was low in carbohydrate.
- On the fourth, sixth, ninth, and eleventh day, I had blood drawn fo testing.
Results:


This is consistent with Feldman’s hypothesis, and his lipid-energy model.
